ng, he clearly asked everyone to be ready for the third wave. Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that we have to become self-sufficient, especially in the matter of supply of oxygen. The CM said that he would not like to hear any reason for the decrease in oxygen supply then.
A senior official, who did not wish to be named, said that a third wave of Corona would occur in Maharashtra in July and August, based on the advice given by members of the state’s task force. The task force made this prediction based on interactions with experts in the medical field. Not only this, he has predicted based on the study of the pattern of corona waves in different countries. According to experts, the decline in daily cases of corona is likely to start by the end of May, but by the end of July or the first week of August the cases will start to rise again which will be the third wave in the state.
Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that we want the local administration to have oxygen surplus by July. For this, orders have been issued for setting up 125 PSA (Pressure Swing Abortion (PSA) technology plants and will start setting up across the state in the next 10 days. District Collectors in the ratio of 25% of the total active patients in their respective district. 5 to 10 LPM is directed to procure oxygen concentrator, so that all mild and severe patients can get regular oxygen supply in any case.
