Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday filed her nomination from the Nandigram assembly seat and expressed confidence that she has never returned empty-handed from Nandigram. In this seat, he will face his former colleague and now BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari. Banerjee filed a nomination at the Haldia sub-divisional office in the presence of TMC President Suvrat Bakshi.

The chief minister is contesting from Nandigram for the first time after leaving the Bhawanipur seat in Kolkata. She has rented a house in Nandigram from where she will campaign.
