After Maharashtra, Corona started to scare in Punjab, night curfew in 4 districts: Night curfew was implemented in four districts of the state from Saturday. Punjab Chief Secretary Vini Mahajan and Director General of Police Dinkar Gupta held a meeting with all the commissioners, district police chiefs, and civil surgeons through video conference regarding the coronavirus situation, after which the order was issued. The districts where night curfew has been implemented include Jalandhar, SBS Nagar, Hoshiarpur, and Kapurthala.

Night curfew will remain in these districts from 11:00 am to 5:00 am. Earlier in the day, Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that the night curfew will continue from Saturday to the next order. However, during this period, people working in different shifts in 24-hour factories will get the exemption in curfew. The curfew will be relaxed in case of an emergency. Punjab has been witnessing an increase in cases of covid-19 for the last four weeks.

More than 10 thousand cases were reported in Maharashtra

On Saturday, 10,187 cases of coronavirus have been reported in Maharashtra. While 6,080 people have been discharged from the hospital on the last day. In the last 24 hours, 47 people have died. So far, 22,08, 586 cases of coronavirus have been reported in Maharashtra and 20,62,031 people have become healthy. At the same time, 52,440 corona patients have died in the state. While the number of active cases in Maharashtra has increased to 92,897.

On Saturday, 321 new cases of Covid-19 were reported Saturday, which is a daily figure of more than 300 for the second consecutive day in March. Due to the sudden increase in cases of coronavirus, the infection rate increased to 0.60. The health department released data in this regard. On Friday, three patients died and 312 new cases were reported. This is also a significant increase in the number of infections in terms of 261 cases that came out on Thursday. According to the department, with the death of a patient on Saturday, 10,919 people have lost their lives due to this infection.
